Requiem For Z.

Zagreb Dance Company (HR)

Zagreb Dance Ensemble’s current production is a result of the choreographer’s deep, intimate need to determine how one can resolve the challenges of transience on stage and those in real life.
In co-habitating two parallel worlds, the world of the ordinary filled with metaphorical madness of the daily rhythms, and that of a world in which all logic stops and is replaced by efforts to establish deeper relations, the dancers seek answers to questions about their own instabilities, disappearances, departures, weaknesses… and that of others… they find that beneath this frenzy exists layers of intimacy one cannot find that easily. The camera and the screen are not foreign objects on the stage, but rather open new perspectives for the interplay between real bodies and images of these, and between the view points of the person filming , those that are filmed and those that observe the live action before them.
